Annual Fly-In and Maintenance Seminar 2011
We try to schedule our annual Maintenance Seminar and FlyIn the first weekend in October. Traditionally we will have a delicious chicken dinner catered by Devon's Restauraunt, followed by a short seminar with slide show presented by John Sjaardema, our president, CEO and senior IA. The weather cooperated beautifully this year allowing 30+ aircraft to attend.
Thanks to Gregg and MaryLou Erickson for the great photo coverage of the event!
Grumman City for a day
The "Overly Used Parts" display is always an attraction.
Our remodeled upholstery department.
The Chow Line gets everyone in order.
Special guest this year was Brian Stirm, Director of Flight Propulsion Research for Swift Enterprises from the Purdue University group developing Swift Aviation fuel.
Gregg Erickson previewed the plans for next year's AYA convention to be held at OshKosh.
And everybody's favorite...John's fabulous seminar on maintaining the fleet.
At the end of the day, still good weather and everyone had a wonderful time.
Everyone with an interest in aircraft maintenance is welcome at our yearly event. If you are in the Midwest area during the first weekend of October, plan to join us!
